Painted Windows

Okay, this post's title is actually stealing Emily's buzz, unlike te last one where I said I was, but actually wasn't. I've been listening to Painted Windows by the Pussycat Dolls. Its quite a good song. =]

I apologise if the last post was kinda sad etc etc. I'll try not to do that too much in the future.

The main reason for me posting is because I'm sick of studying. I have like 3 pages left to summarise, out of 80, and I've had enough. I think ym eyes are just getting sore. And I'm cold. hehe.

Is anyone else absolutely sick of maths? I am. And english. urgh.

here are a few quotes i'm liking at the moment.

see if you get the link. =]

"While the rest of the species descended from apes, redheads descended from cats"

I absolutely love this one - "Once in his life, everyman is entitled to fall in love with a gorgeous redhead" and because redheads are scarce, that means more love for redheads. =]

"she was a redhead, and fun"

"blondes are wild, brunettes are true, but you never know what a redhead will do"

"blondes are hot, brunettes are hotter but redheads are hottest"

"blondes may have more fun, but redheads are rmemembered"

"if you want yourself trouble, fin yourself a red head"

And now for some redhead jokes. =]

How do you get a redheads to argue with you? Say something

How do you get a redheads mood to change? Wait 10 seconds

Only two things are necessary to keep a redhead happy. One is to let her think she is having her own way, and the other is to let her have it.

How do you know when your redhead has forgiven you? She stops washing your clothes in the toilet bowl.

Why do redheads have horns? To hold up their halo

What is the difference between a bitch and redhead? Not a damn thing, but you better not tell her that.

What's the Redhead Dating Motto? The fastest way to a man's heart is through his ribcage.

How does a redhead change a light bulb? She doesn't, she bitches until someone else does.

What's safer: a redhead or a pirahna? The pirahna. They only attack in schools

Goodnight. xx

Words of Wisdom

So, I'm back here again, for a little chat. =] I'm listening to this song, and it's kinda a reflection of my mood right now, I'm not trying to steal Emily's buzz. =] Before I actually get onto what I wanted to say, I want to sound wise for a few paragraphs.

You know how sometimes you wonder what type of person you really are? Or if you've changed? Well, I do. All the time. Looking in the mirror, I'm not the person I was 5 years ago, or even the person I was last year. And its not only what you look like that makes you think that. Sometimes, it what people say to or about you that gets you thinking. And I've been thinking. For a while. In some ways, I know I've changed for the better, others I feel disgusted with myself. And then, I see the parts of me that haven't changed and I smile. I still dance like crazy to every song that comes on the radio, and sing really loud to my favourite songs, even if they aren't 'cool'. hehe. I still love romance movies, and can cry at a drop of a hat. But I've learnt things as well. I've learnt to not care about what people say about you, I've gained a higher sense of style, if thats even possible and I've learned that trusting people is probably one of the hardest things to do, but is the most treasured thing in the world.

I'm thinking of one particular person at the moment, and I won't say who, but their trust in me is treasured and will be til the day I die. I hope I never let them down. And that goes for everyone else as well.

I know I'm glad that I've changed, I'm glad that I'm not the person I used to be, but I still see things the same and get worried over the same things. I still hate it when people mock what I do because they're jealous, or because they appreciate it and wish they had the drive to do what I do. And, if anyone is interested, I don't do what I do to have people talk about me, I do it because I have dreams that I will achieve, and I can't do that unless I push myself harder than I can handle. And even if you think its too much for me, I know best when it comes to me.

In relation to somthing I read on myspace - somethings are important to different people. If someone thinks that Yr 10 is important, who are you to disagree? Because in the end, those that think its important will go further in the world than you.

So what actually brought on this half rant half whatever?

I read my horoscope. It got me thinking. I read a couple of bulletins on myspace. They got me thinking. I reflected on my experiences this year. Which got me thinking.

In relation to horoscope this is what it says:

"You are wild, over the top and out of control" - Well, I'm definitely over the top. I can even see a few of you nodding your heads as you read that. As for wild and out of control, well, I'm not so sure. But am I? Seriously, what do you think?

"Underneath the flamboyant exterior, you're actually calm, dedicated, hardworking and sensible" - I totally agree with this. I'm calm if everything gets done before its supposed to be done, I'm definitely dedicated and hardworking, and have more than my fair share of being sensible.

"You're extremely loyal, warm and generous" - I feel this one has something to do with what I said earlier. I've changed. And, this is what I've become. Sure, I was warm and generous, but I wasn't loyal. And I've learned my lessons. The hard way. I've learned that being loyal to those important people makes you feel something in the cockles of your heart.

"You can be proud, bossy and a bit of a diva" - I'm definitely proud and always bossy, and a bit more than a bit of a diva. I love my clothes and my shoes and my bags. And sometimes being bossy makes people hate you for a while, but you need to express the real you, rather than hide it away and let people walk all over you.

"A strong believer of love at first sight" - no questions. I'm in love with love at first sight. I'm a true romantic.

So, I know this may seem like its directed at certain people, but its not. Its just the easiest way for me to . . . be me.

=]

Have a nice night.

Love Gorgeous.

Dearest Chickens

In relation to the lovely comment I left on Emily's blog a few minutes ago, I'd like to tell you all about the time my precious duck was killed.

Back when i was bout 4 years old, I loved this little duck. I can't remember its name. But it was yellow and nice and soft. I used to wash it with soap. =] But, funnily enough, the soap never came out. Suzanne and I had one each. They were the same. It was a Sunday morning, about 12 years ago. Suzanne and I shared a room. My bed was next to the door, because I was (still am) a frequent night toilet person (a person who goes to the loo a lot in the middle of the night). Anyway, her bed was on the other wall. It was probably about 7 or 8 in the morning. or earlier mum and dad were still asleep in their bedroom. we had been up for a while, talking or playing with our barbies or something. I needed the loo, so I hopped out of me bed and toddled down the hall to the toilet. I wasn't there very long, all I had to do was deposit the inhabitants of my bowel, so when I cam back, I was shocked to see my duck, on my bed, headless. The head was on my sisters pillow. She still claims, to this day, she didn't do it. But I know better. She did it, cause she probably ate her own duck. Its funny though, cause she would have only been 2. Which makes this story really weird. And so, on my gravestone, I hope someone will comment on the fact that i lived without this duck for the rest of my life because my sister is a murderer.

And, in regards to the comment I left in Sophie's blog approximately 1 week ago -

Dearest everyone,

As you all know, last week (or whenever) was earth hour. I was one of the many that did not participate, as I was busy eating after I got home from work. Sophie decided to put up a list of things as to what we could do in that hour, in the dark.

It was -
Þ Share stories around a fire
Þ Take the dog for a night walk
Þ Play hide and seek in the garden
Þ Gather family and friends for a picnic under the stars
Þ Have dinner by candlelight
Þ Play truth or dare

Now, this is what I said in reply to Sophie's blog post -

1. why would you have a fire in your house? that'd be really bad.
2.walking the dog at night. wouldn't you like trip over? then, you'd have to turn on the light to see where exactly the knife you tripped over stabbed you.
3.hide and seek in the garden. seeking would be impossible cause it'd be too dark. hiding'd be easy. just stand 5m away from the person.
4.picnic under the stars? how would you see what you're eating. it'd be dark. hello? I'd prefer to actually eat the bread roll, not the dog poop i found on the ground, next to where I thought the bread rolls were.

I would like to add to this list -

5. Kill yourself. be much easier.
6. Cut your hair, and accidentally cut your eye open and so you die anyway
7. Sleep. No better time than the dark.

So, as you may have realised, I have not posted a blog post since about November last year. And, as you can also see, I deleted those last 2 posts, because they were so depressive I cringed.

On the Show Holiday Weekend, Maddy and I went to the show. We're pretty sure, that by the end of the day the whole place hated us. Mainly because we were trying to steal their lollies, but never mind that. First, we went on this cool ride that went up and down and around. It was fun, although it took like 5 minutes to get started. Then we went on the claw, which wasn't scary at all, and Maddy was like sitting beside me freaking out. No biggie. Then we went on this weird spinning one. twice. Only because Maddy wanted to inflict pain upon me. Especially since she weighs more than me, and therefore gravitational force applied to me by her is very very bad. Then we went on the dodgem cars. About 5 times the guy had to come and help me drive. I wasn't very good. Only cause I turned too much. So If I were in an actual car, everyone with me would have died when I turned too much. and fell off the cliff. which I've nearly done. Nothing new there. Anyway, after that we went on the Yo-yo. It is the longest ride in history. It just goes around. and around, and around. Which is why you can understand why I nearly vomited when I got off. Luckily I didn't, and instead saw these two girls clean themselves up when they were vomited on. they were pretty too. Until the vomit landed on them. Anyway, apparently, Maddy said I was green. totally would have clashed with my hair. After that we went on the Ferris wheel, and saw this old lady get really pissed at this other guy. so funny. I also considered getting a tattoo, but decided against it. Then, we went on this weird gravitational one, it is so painful. but fun. lol. We then went on the mouse ride or something. Maddy was sitting behind me totally freaked out. It was totally not scary at all. Like a mini ghost rider. Then we went on the (the ride that put you upside down) that was scary, but it was funny cause Suzanne and her friend Mia were sitting behind us, swearing their heads off, so instead of vomiting, I was laughing at them. and then Suzanne threw up. thankfully, once we were off the ride and she was in the loo.

then we came home and watched the titanic. Oh. My. God. It was so sad. I cried like the whole way through, was absolutely bawling at the end, and then I was weeping and bawling for like 30 minutes afterwards. So yeah, I was a bit emotional.

Oh yeah, a couple of weeks ago it was the athletics carnival. You will have noticed that I was wearing a scoop neck tshirt, 3/4 pants and thongs. The next day, I happened to be away. That was because my arms, and neck were sun burnt, as were my legs, but not as much as my feet. My feet were so sun burnt I couldn't walk or put shoes on. They were swollen and red as beetroots. It was kinda funny though, cause that meant jade had to endure Mr. Perkins all by herself that day, as Maddy and Viv were also away. but I truly am sorry. Even though I did manage to start my science assignment, and do some other homework. You don't know how satisfying it is to have the day off to do stuff when you know that everyone else is at school and you're not. especially when you find out there is like no notes for you to catch up on on Monday.

much love, as always

Your Princess.

Twilight Obsession

Today, and yesterday for that matter, you may have noticed I was quite uptight and impatient. Or that my nose was stuck in a book. Usually, I try to prevent from reading at school, but I seriously couldn't tear myself away from the 1st in the twilight quadrology. Which I read in 2 days, broken up time slots. Congrats to me =] Hopefully Jade will realise that she has a text message and will bring the next one tomorrow.

Also, emily if you're reading this you should already have your assignment sheet in your inbox. if not, text me or something and i'll do it straight away.

Much love,

Amanda

Chewed Shoes and Busted Door Stops

That's right, you've got it. My dog got inside today and decided that it would be fun to eat one of my shoes. and my door stop. So now it slams shut whenever I turn on my fan and open my windows. Hurray.

Today was the first day back, obviously, and over the weekend I went camping with Josie, which was fun. We drove up on Friday morning, I got very sun burnt setting up, and Suzanne didn't help at all. stupid lazy person. Josie and I washed and dried up everyday day. Making that at least 9 times before we left.It rained on Saturday. We drove on Sunday. We drove a bit on Sunday. We packed up, I got sun burnt, we came home. the end.

Turns out we're going camping again. Just after Christmas and just before America. leaves me a lot of time to pack, doesn't it.

I actually don't have much more to say. My heads is empty, and I'm off to do something secret.

ttyl.

Caravans and 100km Winds

Alright, you've guessed the topic. We're possibly going away at the weekend. yay (sarcasm present). It's not like I hate it all that much. I'd rather stay at home or go to a nice hotel up the coast of Queensland. And what if I haven't finished my homework in 2 days? I mean, hello we won't get back til Sunday night, I have school the next day and just a few days to get it all done. I'm not complaining, I'm just making a point.

The fates must have been in my favour last night, because the annex roof of the caravan was out in those horrible winds, and they broke 4 of the poles, and bent on of them. I know its mean to be happy about this, and deep down I'm not, because that was only finished on Saturday. It was Monday when it broke. That's a couple thousand dollars down the drain.

Anyway, enough of the tragic unhappiness, I had a great time in Queensland. I actually meant to post a blog earlier and write about it in detail, but I'll do it now. So we left home at 7:30am on Sunday and drove to the airport, boarded the plane blah blah blah. When we got to La Sabbia (where my cousins live) we helped get ready for the party and sat around until the guests arrived. The guests arrived and I spent about 6 hours more in my high heel shoes.

After the party we cleaned up and headed inside for dinner. The end of that day.

On Monday we went shopping. It was amazingly fun. Although Suzanne was having issues to find anything that would fit her. Including swimmers, so she pretty much had a hissy fit in the shop. I had a great time finding swimmers. I found a few more than 8 pairs to try on (i know, but my cousins helped find me good colours) and I somehow managed to get that down to three. I actually wanted to buy 2 pairs, but decided against it when I looked at the price tag. I got a beautiful halter neck tube bikini, in bold colours. It's so comfortable. Now I just need a place to wear it! I also bought 2 pairs of pj's, a pair of white denim 3/4 pants (only 1/4 away from the white skinny's I want!) and I think that's it. Needless to say, after shopping at Dreamworld the day after, I came home with 15c. Out of $200. At least, you can say, I didn't spend it all. =] When we got home my cousin and Nikki and I painted our nails (i'd only done mine on Saturday but already they were chipping). I painted mine a really deep purple called Linkin After Dark, or something similar.

On Tuesday, you guessed it, we went to dreamworld. first, though, we had a game of tennis. which was fun. We drove there and got in the line to get in, which took us an hour, then lined up for the claw straight away. Oh, my god!! I had to sit by myself cause people couldn't be bothered to fill in the seats. Anyway, I was secretly freaking out before that one. My sister tried to convince the 3 of us about 4 times that she'd rather wait outside. And she's supposed to be the brave one. Anyway, so you start swinging on this claw shaped thing, and then you start spinning around slowly, then after you gain momentum, you just get flung up in the air, spinning as you go. I was seriously shitting myself. Well, I wasn't, but I did scream myself hoarse. I even tried closing my eyes, but that made it worse. lol.

Next, we went on the wipeout, and after lining up for a while we were the first one's on. Again, I was scared a bit, but Suzanne was practically hysterical. I think she nearly cried. Anyway, apart from being a thrill ride, I actually wasn't scared at all. I mean once or twice I felt like I was going to fall out of the damn ride, but I didn't, and I actually enjoyed it more so than I thought I would. It's really just like this big wave. You're sitting on one side of this triangular prism type thing and then the arms move you around like a wave coming into the shore and then drifting out (as in lifting you up, then taking you around in a circle). then as the ride goes on, the arms start doing weird things and you're not horizontal anymore, and it kinda moves you like you're legs do when you're riding your bike. lol. Then right at the end, it takes you upside down, and leaves you there for a while, then leaves you on top of the ride for a while. then slowly brings you done. lol.

After that, we decided to line up for the cyclone. would you believe we waited for a bit longer than an hour before getting on? yep. we did. anyway, so we got on, and this one again wasn't that scary, but after the hour wait I was getting jittery. Anyway, we got on, and the roller coaster took us around the side fairly slowly, then up this really high ramp, which is pretty nerve racking cause it takes so long. then when you get up the top, you're sure you're going to drop, but you don't. Anyway there's a few loop-de-loops and stuff. but it's all good. I liked it, but not worth the wait.

After that, we were starving so we got lunch then headed over to the Thunder River Rapids Ride. Compared to all the other rides, this was like a walk in the park. It was actually really boring. the best part was probably going up the ramp slowly at the end, being jolted from side to side by the ramp. lol

After wasting another hour lining up for that, we headed over to the tower of terror, now I just want to clear this up this is the ride that shoots you out of the tunnel, and then up as far as 38 storeys. Not the giant drop. anyway, we spent 1 hour lining up for this ride, then they had a delay cause of some problem, which was routine seeings as it's propelled by magnetic force. Anyway, we managed to get on, and sat in the car thing, and to be honest I was a bit freaked out, but never said anything, cause I wanted show up Suzanne. which I did. anyway, the car thing jolted forward, and then we were off at 160km in just 7 seconds. pretty amazing really, again I screamed going along, then when we started going up you run out of breath and can't be bothered screaming. Then, you just sit still, about 38 storeys high, in the car, before you remember 'shit, this thing goes down as well'. in the middle of thinking that, the car starts zooming backwards to where you came from. I think that was the best part.

On Wednesday, it was our last day so we had breakfast and started to say our goodbyes, cause both of my cousins re going to the UK for 10 weeks. then the youngest is coming back to Sydney to work. anyway, we all shed tears. It was really very sad. Needless to say, my mascara was all on the tissue by the time we got to the airport.
